Jo and Mark Symons run Trevathan Farm Shop at their farm near Port Isaac
Trevathan Farm has been in the Symons family for five generations - the 260 acre working farm has evolved over the years to include a pick-your-own fruit business, farm shop and restaurant, along with eleven holiday cottages.
The farm shop first started selling Treleveans ice cream in 2008, as Jo and Mark were looking for something a little more exclusive that not everybody else sold.
They now have a 16 flavour scooping counter in the shop, serve the ice cream in the restaurant, as well as selling 500ml and theatre tubs. Chocolate is the flavour of choice amongst their younger customers but Jo’s favourite is the New York lime cheesecake.
Jo says: “The flavours are great, and there is a great variety - you can just tell that they are hand made and just so much nicer than an everyday ice cream that is produced on a mass scale. We have got people now that just come because they know the ice cream is great.”
